FAQ's
Q: What does the word "Totaled" mean?
A: The word ‘totaled’ means that the total replacement value of the vehicle was paid to the owner for their damaged or stolen vehicle by the insurance carrier. It does NOT mean that the vehicle sustained irreparable damage, although many have.
Q: What does “Reconstructed” on a title mean?
A: A vehicle that has been previously branded as salvage but has been rebuilt/repaired and re-inspected. These vehicles are road worthy but the reconstructed brand remains on the vehicle's title permanently.
Q: What does a “Title Brand” or “Branded Title” mean?
A: A branded-title vehicle is a generic term which means that the vehicle has been paid off by an insurance carrier. It is a permanent designation on a vehicle's title, registration or permit documents to indicate that a vehicle has been written off due to collision, fire or flood damage.
Q: Why should I buy a car that has a salvage or reconstructed title?
A: We would strongly caution you to NOT buy a salvage or reconstructed title vehicle unless it is from a licensed, bonded, ASE certified shop with full disclosure and warranty on the repairs.
Q: Can I insure a reconstructed vehicle?
A: YES. Only a handful of very small insurance companies would object or offer just liability coverage. The majority of insurance companies offer full comprehensive and liability coverage.
Q: Aren’t reconstructed vehicles worth less than clean titles?
A: Correct. However, if considering a car from ARR, points to factor into your decision would be: Lower cost to purchase, lower mileage than average, 100% warranty on the repairs, & service after the sale.
Q: Do you sell clean title vehicles too?
A: Occasionally. We cannot offer warranties on clean titles as we haven’t repaired them ourselves. Our best experiences have been with the vehicles we have personally worked on.
Q: Can I get financing for my vehicle?
A: This depends on your lender. Some offer 50% of book value, sometimes more. We have had customers successfully finance their vehicles via home equity lines of credit, personal loans, student loans, and zero percent credit cards. We do not offer in house financing at this time.
